Kayla McClelland
Kayla McClelland is a dynamic communication strategist and speechwriter, currently lending her expertise to top executives at the Boeing Company. As the lead senior executive communication strategist for the Boeing Defense, Space & Security and Boeing Global Services CEOs, McClelland spearheads planning and integration efforts across the Boeing enterprise. Her role includes crafting engaging content for social media, particularly on LinkedIn, as well as developing keynotes, talking points, and briefing papers for internal and external engagements.
Before joining Boeing in 2018, McClelland was a consultant at Ernst & Young, where she supported the U.S. Army in Washington, D.C. Her journey into corporate communications and consulting followed a successful career in journalism. As a TV reporter and anchor in Frederick, Maryland, and a top writer at the Independent Journal Review, McClelland covered a wide range of national and international stories, including the 2016 presidential election. McClelland honed her skills with a variety of internships, including those at Fox 2 News Detroit, WJLA-ABC 7 News / News Channel 8 in Washington, DC, and C-Span.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kayla frequently serves as a guest speaker on campus in both classroom settings and at career panels.
