Sarah Smith

Sarah Smith is an accomplished business leader and communications strategist with a distinguished career spanning nearly two decades across the fields of financial technology, media, marketing and corporate partnerships. She currently serves as Vice President at Gallagher, one of the world’s leading insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting firms. In her role, Smith advises clients on employee benefit strategies that enhance workforce well-being, manage long-term cost structures and align with organizational growth goals.

Prior to joining Gallagher, she served as Chief Growth Officer of TiiCKER, a groundbreaking fintech platform that pioneered direct-to-shareholder marketing and shareholder loyalty programs. Under her leadership, TiiCKER earned national recognition, including awards from the American Business Awards and Amazon’s AWS Fintech Accelerator, for its innovation in retail investor engagement. She led strategic partnerships with industry leaders, helping public companies unlock new ways to connect with their retail investor base.

Smith’s earlier career includes leadership positions with Lambert Global, Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, Crain Communications and Ilitch Sports + Entertainment. Her expertise lies in brand strategy, business development and integrated marketing, with a consistent focus on innovation, stakeholder engagement, and measurable growth.

A proud alumna of Oakland University, where she earned her degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Marketing, Smith continues to support the institution through mentorship and alumni engagement. She is a recipient of the Legal Marketing Association’s Rising Star Award and is passionate about empowering the next generation of leaders in business and communications.

Smith resides in Lake Orion with her husband and two sons. She brings to the CJPR Professional Advisory Council (PAC) a wealth of cross-industry experience, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to education and community impact.
