The Children’s Tradebook Examination Center, founded by Dr. Jane Bingham, is comprised of current, newly published children’s books supplied by publishers and arranged alphabetically by publisher. As a new year begins, books from the previous year are integrated into the ERL’s main circulating collections.

We are proud of our partnership with leading publishers, which enables us to share the newest and often best books published for children and young adults across genres and curriculum areas with our pre-service educators and counselors. Patrons may check out books in the Tradebook Center for one week or browse them in the ERL.

Through the continued generosity of our participating publishers, we have the means to update and maintain our established circulating and award-book collections. Our Tradebook Center provides an invaluable resource for our students, teachers, and librarians from the surrounding school districts as they consider choosing books for teaching, read-aloud assignments, and building their own classroom libraries.

The Tradebook Center is located straight inside the ERL, on the bookcases just past the circulation desk.
