This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for Oakland University. The policy statements address the school's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security and include topics such as: crime prevention, fire safety, university police law enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, campus security authorities, timely notifications, emergency notifications, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking policies and awareness/prevention programs, disciplinary procedures and other matters of importance related to security and safety on campus.

The report also contains crime statistics for the three previous calendar years for certain types of crimes that were reported to have occurred on campus, in on- or off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the law and on public property within or immediately adjacent to the campus.

Admissions ambassadors are student leaders who provide facts and knowledge about OU to prospective students and their parents. Admissions ambassadors give daily campus tours and participate in student panels at various recruitment events such as Go for the Gold, Discover OU, Transfer Student Open Houses, Academic Visit Days, Welcome Receptions and more.

Admissions ambassadors are not only trained and familiar with programs and services offered at Oakland, they also possess great leadership skills and serve as role models for prospective students.
