Lowry is part of the School of Education and Human Services at Oakland University, administered by its Department of Human Development and Child Studies and is licensed by the State of Michigan. The center is a state-of-the-art facility and is designed to promote best practices in the field of Early Childhood Education. Each classroom is equipped to meet the developmental needs of that particular age group.
Schedule Options
Children can be enrolled two, three or five days per week. Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday - Friday are typical schedules.

The mission of the Lowry Center for Early Childhood Education is to provide an exemplary laboratory center for early childhood education for the broad university community and the neighboring communities. The Lowry Center is dedicated to the mission of fostering the cognitive, emotional, social, creative and physical growth and development of each individual child in a supportive and stimulating environment.

The Lowry Center for Early Childhood Education has approved action and evacuation plans for emergencies and severe weather. Evacuation and emergencies drills are practiced with the children throughout the year. If you would like a copy of our official action plan, please see the Lowry office.
