Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)

The mission of the TESOL graduate certificate program is to provide candidates with the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise to function as effective English language instructors in PreK12 classrooms, adult TESOL English language programs and in overseas English language programs.
The GC in TESOL coursework has been approved by the Michigan Department of Education and prepares candidates to take the PreK-12 Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC 126) in the ESL endorsement subject area. Please see the program webpage for requirements. Credits from the GC in TESOL can be applied to the MA degree in Linguistics.
