Joanne and Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services (OUCARES)

Families across Southeast Michigan impacted by autism are searching for more than just answers. They’re looking for real support, connection and opportunity. For over 20 years, the Joanne and Ted Lindsay Foundation Autism Outreach Services at Oakland University, also known as OUCARES, has been here to help fill that gap. 

As the outreach arm of the Center for Autism, OUCARES offers affordable, inclusive programs that support the autism community across every stage of life. From recreational and social activities to employment readiness and summer camps, OUCARES creates spaces where autistic individuals can thrive, grow and belong.

But our impact doesn’t stop there.

We also empower parents, caregivers, educators, employers and first responders with specialized training and enrichment programs, giving the broader community the tools to support autistic individuals with understanding and confidence.

At OUCARES, our work is made possible by a dedicated team of trained staff, passionate volunteers and generous supporters.
