Professional Development, Collaboration Resources and Community Engagement
The Research Office is committed to helping faculty become successful in all aspects of research: winning extramural funding, connecting with collaborators, disseminating the results of their work, and using their work for the benefit of the community. To that end, we offer a number of professional development and training programs to foster community engagement.

MichBio represents Michigan's diverse biosciences sectors, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices, research and testing, health technologies, agri/industrial biosciences, and more. Focused on advancing the bio-industry, MichBio drives advocacy at state and federal levels, delivers resources and services that benefit members, promotes industry achievements, and serves as the leading source of bioscience education and innovation.
MichBio hosts educational webinars, larger conference-style events, and a variety of networking events. Students in particular are encouraged to attend networking events (BioMixers) to expand their networks and meet with folks working in their industry/field of study. These events are great opportunities for students to build connections that may lead to future employment.
