Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering

Our Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering program provides educational experiences aimed toward producing graduates who will be at the frontier of innovation—where mechanical ingenuity meets electronic precision. Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering is revolutionizing the world by merging mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, computer engineering, control engineering and robotics into a cohesive, cutting-edge discipline.

Mechatronics is centered on mechanics, electronics, control, software computing, embedded processing, communications, electromagnetism, electro-mechanism, and micro- and nano-technologies. This synergy generates simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems.

Robotics Engineering is at the heart of creating robots—intelligent systems designed to interact with their environment and complete tasks with minimal or no human intervention. This field involves the design, development, evaluation, and integration of robots capable of sensing, planning and acting to perform a wide range of functions. It brings together a number of fields, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, artificial intelligence and psychology.
