Denise Caston-Clark was a Radio City Rockette for 10 years and toured nationally with the Tony Award winning musical: “Crazy For You.” She’s worked with Savion Glover, toured Australia with Elvis to the Max, and choreographed for and performed in shows spanning 5 years at Caesars Windsor in Ontario, Canada.

Favorite recent choreography credits include “Legally Blonde”, “Singin’ In the Rain” and “Something Rotten” at the historic Priscilla Beach Theatre, Oakland University's “Urinetown” and “Beatles On Tap,” a tap dance show she created to the iconic music of The Beatles.

Caston-Clark was on the faculty of the top global dance destinations Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York City, and she taught The Rockette Experience© at Radio City Music Hall.

Selected teaching highlights include the Dance Masters Of Michigan spring convention, the Big Apple Tap Festival (New York City), Gregg Russell’s Tap Into the Network and the Phoenix Tap Fest (Phoenix).

She founded Motor City Tap Fest in 2008, a tap dance festival that brings leading tap dance artists and educators to Detroit. It features four days of classes, a tap jam where dancers can share rhythms via improvisation, a participants showcase for attendees to perform for the faculty and their peers and it culminates in the all-star faculty concert: “Motor City Soles.” Aspiring dancers, dance educators and dance enthusiasts travel from not only Michigan, but across the country and abroad to attend this renowned event, making it an annual tradition.

In 2011, Caston-Clark spoke at the TEDx Detroit Conference about her contributions to Detroit’s cultural landscape.

In 2014, she won a MaTilDa Award from Oakland University for Alumni Achievement in Dance.

Caston-Clark is certified by the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum and is a member of Dance Master’s of Michigan and Dance Masters of America.
