Visiting Assistant Professor Edward Stumpp is a composer and improviser of electronic and electroacoustic music. His work focuses on implementations of machine listening, guided improvisation, animated scores, and audio-visual music.

Currently, Edward is an educator residing in Michigan. His classes range from introductory courses in electronic music & audio recording, electronic music synthesis, improvisational/electronic music ensembles, and advanced computer music techniques utilizing the computer program Max.

He holds a D.M.A. in Music Composition from Michigan State University (2020), a Master of Fine Art in Electronic Music and Recording Media from Mills College (2012), and a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition from Boise State University (2009).
