Are you a high school junior or senior with a passion for music, theatre or dance? Curious about what it’s like to be a student at Oakland University’s School of Music, Theatre and Dance? Join us for our Major for a Day program and experience it firsthand!
Spend a day attending real classes based on your degree interest, shadow current students, meet with our world-class faculty, and explore campus life. If you’re a music student, you can sit in on Wind Symphony or Chorale rehearsals, depending on your instrument or voice focus. You may also have the opportunity to enjoy a short private lesson with our talented applied faculty.
Plus, lunch is on us, and you’ll get to dine with current SMTD students, followed by a guided tour of our beautiful campus.
This program is completely free, and we can’t wait to welcome you to the exciting world of the arts at Oakland University. Whether you’re interested in music, theatre or dance, this is your chance to see what it’s like to study in our vibrant, dynamic community.
