Biography
Vincent Liu earned his B.A. in Sociology from the Ohio State University-Columbus and his M.S. in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University. He is currently completing his Ph.D. in the School of Criminal Justice at Michigan State University.

Liu’s research interests broadly integrate transnationalism, gender and sexualities, and public opinions of crime and justice. Specifically, he is interested in the experiences of gender and sexual minorities in the Global South, and how people’s intersectional identities (e.g., race/ethnicity, immigration, gender identity, and sexual orientation) influence their attitudes toward law enforcement. He is also passionate about bringing these comparative and critical perspectives into classrooms.
