Project Management

UCM account managers direct a range of projects for all units on campus, such as print, digital, photography and videography opportunities. Each unit on campus has a designated account manager that specializes in the unit’s unique needs. Consider marketing goals and audiences, and connect with your account manager –if you haven’t already – to enhance your unit’s recognition and engagement.

Print marketing assets can be powerful tangible tools to support your unit’s communications plan. Your account manager will be the liaison with our talented graphic design and production teams to create informative, eye-catching materials that embrace the OU brand and engage your intended audience. Among the options for OU print marketing assets:

  • Book/Catalogs/Magazines
  • Brochures
  • Event Programs
  • Fliers
  • Folders/Inserts
  • Gift Forms
  • Hanging Banners
  • Invitations/Envelopes/Thank-you Cards
  • Postcards
  • Posters
  • Retractable Banners

With projects numbering in the thousands each year, UCM requires at least 27 business days’ notice for print job requests. This timeline is an estimate only, as production schedules are dependent on UCM’s overall workload.

Digital marketing is yet another definitive way to reach audiences. Reach out to your account manager to determine the most effective digital options, depending on your timeframe and desired outcome and audience.

Options for digital marketing assets include:

  • Digital Displays (Axis TV monitors throughout campus)
  • Emma Headers (E-mail Marketing)
  • Google Form Headers
  • Oakland Post Newspaper Ads
  • PowerPoint Slides
  • Social Media Graphics
  • Social Media Icons

With projects numbering in the thousands each year, UCM requires at least 19 business days’ notice for digital job requests. This timeline is an estimate only, as production schedules are dependent on UCM’s overall workload.

Photography and videography are key components of event coverage or marketing initiatives. Your ticket to top-notch services and support begins with a photography request or video request that will be routed to your UCM account manager, who will coordinate with freelance or team schedules.

Photography

For photography, once various elements such as budget, audience, location, goal/purpose, intended use, distribution, etc., have been determined for your project, your UCM account manager will recommend a university-approved professional photographer to provide the service for a reasonable hourly rate. Your account manager will then confirm the vendor’s availability for your requested date and time and work with you to provide specifics such as shot requests, tone, usage, etc.

Marketing Videography

The award-winning UCM Creative Video Team focuses on delivering strategic, high-impact video content that supports OU’s top priorities. The video team prioritizes paid advertising campaigns, major OU initiatives and projects with measurable outcomes and strong distribution plans.

Video requests are considered based on resources and staffing, so not all requests can be covered internally. Units and departments should be prepared to budget for video needs that fall outside of UCM’s core priorities. In those instances, your account manager will work with the UCM Video Team to connect you with a university-approved freelance videographer, check the vendor’s availability and pricing, and provide support with strategy, scripting, captioning and distribution.

Event Videography

The UCM Creative Video Team also provides support for event videography. There are multiple options for coverage, including live streaming and screen projection, depending on the event location, date and staffing. Connect with your account manager at least six months in advance to determine the video’s marketing or distribution plan, and our team will work to determine how to best capture and commemorate the event.
