Travis Peterson
Travis Peterson is currently the Director of Sales & Program Management for North America, Japan and Korea at Lear Corporation’s fabric division. His career has focused on rebuilding troubled relationships, commercializing & developing new technologies and product verticals, and establishing global teams to achieve rapid growth. Prior to joining Lear, Travis has held various sales roles at some of the largest automotive tier 1 suppliers such as Faurecia, Panasonic, and Delphi. Travis’s career and approach focuses heavily on innovating in all aspects of business & product development. He has several issued and pending patents in the solar, smart textile, sustainability, and veterinary device spaces. Travis is a Principal of CPT Capital, a Rochester, Michigan based group focused on real estate & small business acquisitions. In 2020 Travis co-founded and continues to lead RexSense, a first of its kind wireless, noninvasive animal monitoring & alert system for the veterinary industry. Travis also enjoys engaging in the private equity & venture capital spaces on various projects and fundraising efforts.
Travis is a 2012 graduate of the School of Business Administration, having received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. He holds a MBA from Wayne State’s Mike Illitch School of Business and has pursued executive education at Michigan State University and Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Travis remains involved at Oakland University as an Executive in Residence for the SBA, executive committee member for the Economics Advisory Board, and a volunteer with the ACHIEVE program. He was an OUAA '10 Within 10 Alumni Award Recipient in 2022. He is also the President for the Michigan Chapter of the Cheetah Conservation Fund and an advocate for the protection of cheetahs throughout Africa.
Travis currently resides in Oakland Township with his wife, Brittany & two children.
