After many collaborations with OU students on creating engaging learning experiences, we are launching a formal student-faculty collaboration initiative. The Pedagogical Partnerships Program brings together faculty and students to collaboratively enhance the teaching and learning experience at Oakland University. Through structured dialogue and feedback, this initiative empowers faculty to refine their teaching practices while giving undergraduate and graduate students a meaningful voice in shaping their educational journey.
If you are an OU student interested in partnering with faculty in this effort, reach out to [email protected].
Related Panel Events and Teaching Tips
Every year CETL works with OU Student Congress to host a student-led panel event on connecting student experience with teaching practices. As a recap of the most recent student panel event, panelists shared Student Perspectives on Collaborating with Professors.

More about Pedagogical Partnerships
Pedagogical Partnership is an increasingly popular student-faculty teaching in higher education program, popularized by Alison Cook-Sather’s 2014 book republished as an open access book in 2019: Pedagogical Partnerships: A How-To Guide for Faculty, Students, and Academic Developers in Higher Education.
