Application Deadlines

Application deadlines vary by program. Many programs follow the deadlines listed below; however many programs have earlier or different application deadlines and you must submit all application documents before the application deadline for your specific program.

Financial Information

Wondering what to expect financially as a graduate student? Our tuition and cost of attendance page provides detailed information to help you plan. Oakland is a fee-free university, so we do not have additional hidden fees such as registration, technology, parking, activity fees, etc.

Assistantships and Scholarships

Oakland University offers scholarships and assistantships (including research, teaching and others) that are awarded on a competitive basis. For consideration, you must first apply and be admitted into your program. A limited number of students receive funding support.

Academic departments manage and award their own assistantships. The financial support for these positions vary, but some cover tuition for two courses per semester for the duration of the program and some provide a small monthly stipend.
