Dr. Szufang Chuang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Organizational Leadership. She holds a Ph.D. in human resource education, an Ed.S. in industrial education, an M.S. in human resource development and a B.S. in technology management. She is a certified human resource professional, hospitality supervisor and hospitality trainer with extensive experience in various human resource management and leadership roles in higher education. She is professionally affiliated with the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD), the Association for Talent Development (ATD), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). 

Dr. Chuang has received the Faculty Distinguished Service Award (2024) and the Teaching Excellence Award (2011) from prior institutions, as well as the Cutting Edge Award twice (2016, 2018) from the AHRD International Research Conference in the Americas. She maintains an active research agenda, publishing in 60 peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and international conference proceedings, using quantitative and qualitative research methods. She regularly serves as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals (e.g. Human Resource Development Quarterly, International Journal of Organizational Analysis), international conferences (e.g. AHRD International Research Conference in the Americas) and book publishers (e.g. McGraw Hill Education, Taylor & Francis Group, Emerald). Her other professional service roles include serving as track chair editor for the AHRD International Research Conference and as an editorial board member for Advances in Developing Human Resources (ADHR).
