Welcome to your new beginning! New Student Orientation is your first step toward becoming part of the Oakland University community. During orientation programs, students will meet new people and learn how to make the most of the resources OU offers.
These instructions are designed for first-year students starting in the fall semester. If you are starting in summer or winter semesters, follow these steps.
Step 1 - Activate Your OU Account
Before you register for orientation, you first need to activate your account. To do this, Click on the NetID Activation page and follow each step. It may take up to 24 hours after activation before you can register for orientation.
Step 2 - Register for Orientation
We have multiple orientation days throughout the summer. To view availability and register, you must log in to your admitted student portal using your email and password that you applied with. You will have the option to add up to two guests. Lunch will be provided for you and up to two guests. This event is intended for guests ages 16 and up.
If you need to reschedule, log in to your admitted student portal to select a new date. To update your current reservation or to reschedule, visit your admitted student portal. Please contact our office at [email protected] or call us at 248-370-GOLD with any questions or concerns you may have.
