Click on the NetID Activation page and follow each step to get set up. Your student account (NetID) is important because it serves as the gateway to accessing University information and allows you to:
- Review financial aid awards and requirements, direct deposit and billing (eBill) notifications
- Accept University scholarships (if applicable)
- Register for your orientation program (if applicable)
- Complete an application to live on campus (if applicable)
- Check your OU email (Webmail) and calendar, powered by Google Access student services including grades, registration for courses and transcripts
We have multiple orientation days and times throughout the summer. You must log in to your admitted student portal with email and password that you applied with to view availability and to register.

No, there is no fee for you, and up to two guests to attend orientation.
Yes! You will have the option to add up to two guests. Lunch will be provided for you and up to two guests. This event is intended for guests ages 16 and up. Students are also welcome to attend alone.
Yes, new first-year students are required to attend orientation before course registration is permitted.
Orientation is 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be prepared to arrive on time and stay for the entire orientation session. You can find out more about the day by viewing the agenda.
You will meet your academic adviser at orientation and register for classes on that day. They will be there to answer any questions and help with any issues as you register. Please note, students must stay for the entire orientation session in order to register for classes.
