Janet Seidell is the Director of Market Inpatient Rehab Programs for the DMC - Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan where she oversees program integrity and outcomes. Janet executes change management through collaboration within rehab and with cross functional teams.
Janet is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives(FACHE), LEAN certified, Health Coach, and engaged leader utilizing evidenced-based and innovative approaches to leadership and patient-family centered care.
In her previous roles at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy, Janet lead outpatient, acute care and inpatient rehab programs and maintained clinical practice. She is experienced in opening clinics and hospital units. She instituted transformational rehab programs for fall prevention, lymphedema, oncology, orthopedics, trauma, inpatient rehab, neuro /stroke, functional outcomes, COPD, emergency, observation units, cardiology and general medicine service line.
Janet serves on the Rochester Dementia Friendly Committee. In the past, Janet has volunteered on Rochester Community Schools Diversity Equity and Inclusion Parent Network, partaken in Rochester Chamber, and volunteered/coached at Holy Family Regional School.
As a proud alumna of Oakland University, Janet has been involved with the physical therapy program since 1997 as a lab assistant, research advisor, guest lecturer, clinical instructor and researcher. Janet enjoys creating connections and mentoring students in their career path and has collaborated with PT faculty on clinical program development. Serving on the board is the next step to broaden her connections with Oakland University by advocating for and influencing the future for the School of Health Sciences.
