Research/Scholarship:
Dr. Kapur’s research interests include health services research for balance and falls, regenerative rehabilitation education, epidemiological research, clinical outcomes in chronic/infectious diseases, and motor control research. She has published 16 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals, including the Journals of Gerontology: Medical Sciences, Applied Physiology, Healthcare, and Experimental Brain Research. Dr. Kapur has presented at national, international and regional conferences. She has received multiple awards and research grants, including an award from NIH-funded Alliance for Regenerative Rehabilitation Research and Training (national level), American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Academy of Research Award (national level), APTA-MI Research Grant (state level), and several university level awards. Her scientific work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals with impact factors as high as 9.95 and has been cited over 347 times.
